Dane's Bio |
Dane Skroupa began
his tenure at East Union Church in 2007.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in organ
performance and a Master's degree in
music education from Carnegie Mellon
University.
Dane recently retired from the Mars Area
School District where he was as the High
School Chorus Director and All School
Musical Director for 35 years. While
teaching, he also served as the
organist/choirmaster at St. Thomas'
Memorial Episcopal Church in Oakmont and
later at St.
Peter's Episcopal Church in Butler
before joining our staff. He views his
church work as a ministry as well as an
opportunity to share his love of music
with people.
Dane and his wife, Gayla, have two
children and four grandchildren. In his
spare time he and his wife enjoy
gardening, traveling and most of all,
spending time with their grandchildren.
Dane and Gayla are residents of West
Deer Township. |
